Library opened at Kwambonambi to assist youth to see a brighter future

N Gina

The ANC led government is making good strides towards realising the ultimate goal of the national democratic society that will ensure every child is acquiring the necessary skills that she or he will need in the future to build a healthy nation. The ANC therefore welcomes the official handover of the module library to the community of KwaMbonambi on the 9th March 2018 in KZN by the Minister of Arts and Culture, Mr Nathi Mthethwa. As the ANC we recognise the rights of people to knowledge, the rights of the girl child to access education, the right to equality in access to knowledge so that it is not the domain of the rich but also empowers the poor.

We strongly believe that this facility is going to assist the community of Kwa Mbonambi, especially the schools in the area to do their work effectively. We are of the view that libraries help in building dreams for the youth, instilling in them the belief that the sky is the limit. Possibilities are endless when you open the doors to reading. The opening of this library at will go a long way in encouraging the youth to see a brighter future. The ANC calls for the community of KwaMbonambi to jealously guard this facility against all reactionary tendencies such as vandalism and theft.

I thank you
